Exploring new material chemistry holds a great promise in revolutionizing future battery technology that can overcome the limitations of current lithium ion batteries. Our efforts are devoted to discovering new functional materials for high-energy next-generation batteries such as lithium metal batteries and metal-air batteries. Specifically, we are working on designing interface or interlayer materials to achieve stable and uniform lithium deposition for highly stable lithium metal or even anode-free batteries. We are also interested in devising novel energy storage materials and systems that may find versatile uses in functional and environmental field beyond battery applications.
