Cathode material is the most critical part that primarily determines the energy density and cost of lithium ion batteries. Our research deep dives into mechanistic understanding on the synthesis, properties, and degradation behaviors of advanced cathode materials by using high-end analysis tools. We are challenging in investigating and establishing cathode synthesis principles that can propel enhancing properties of high-energy cathode materials and their production technology for lithium ion batteries and beyond (sodium & potassium ion batteries).
